Control & Communications with Sol Series CXC-HP Controller
The CXC-HP controller provides centralized setup, control and monitoring of the SOL Series DC Power Systems. This can range from simple monitoring and threshold alarms for temperature, voltage and current, to advanced battery charging and diagnostic features. The brain of the SOL Series system provides Ethernet ports allowing for network, LCD and local laptop access to the controller including both web and SNMP interfaces.
The CXC HP supports CAN ports to allow up to 254 power and/or ADIO modules to be controlled and monitored. The CXC HP uses external analog and digital input and output (ADIO) peripherals to monitor electrical signals (temperature, voltage, current) and general electrical signals through relays.
- The Sol controller can manage the most demanding and advanced energy system applications
- A range of communication options including SNMP, TCP-IP and Modbus provide full monitoring and control remotely
- The Sol controller uses external analogue and digital I/O peripherals to monitor and control all aspects of the system such as shunts, LVDs, Battery Profiles and loads
- Comprehensive configuration settings can easily be changed through Ethernet, USB Ports and Touch Screen.
Key Industrial Applications
DC Power Systems for Power Utilities: A quality source of DC power is essential for switching, control, metering, automation and communication systems in substations where reliability and security are the main features for the overall continuity of the operation. The SOL Series has been designed and aimed at providing utilities with the ideal DC Power solution based on a perfect balance between reliability and cost, irrespective of the size of your protected network.
OIL & GAS: From our experience we understand that offshore or onshore, upstream or downstream the OIL & GAS sector has a need for continuous control processes which cannot afford to fail because of the environmental, social and economic consequences. Reticulation of gas, water and petroleum requires continuous control using DC Power. Helios Sol series systems guarantee a reliable source of DC power, even in the event of AC grid failure.
RAIL: Quality, backed up DC Power is needed throughout rail networks for switching, lighting control, signalling, automation, communication and security. DC Power components for the railway industry must offer safe and reliable operation even under extreme environmental conditions which include vibration, temperature extremes, dust, and EMC interference. THE SOL SERIES, with its convection cooled rectifiers, is designed to operate reliably in these challenging conditions.
